Today at the TCAAP WVA, I saw a Snake in a Hole

Wandered around the TCAAP Wildlife Viewing Area tonight. There weren't many birds tonight. I saw a murder of eight crows, one phoebe (briefly) and only one goldfinch.

As I completed my stroll around the short trail, I came upon this garter snake's tail. I quickly popped the on-camera flash and flipped my preset slower shutter program and snapped away. Fortunately, it stuck its head out and slinked in and out of the hole.  (click the image to embiggen)
