Another rainy crappy day filled with chores...and standing near my new hummingbird feeder.

I made this photograph of a pair of trumpeter swans on February 26, 2010. Ya, I know...February? I found out later while on a bird walk within the Arden Hills Army Training Site (the other side of the barbed-wire at the TCAAP WVA) that part of the pollution mitigation going on water is continuously pumped out of the aquifer into an old gravel pit. As a result, there is open water back there year round.
